When I was studying abroad in India, one of the things that was included in our fee for the semester was an exciting travel week throughout three states, four cities, all in South India. Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (Visual Arts Gallery) was a stop in our first city, Bangalore, which is the IT capital of India (and really, the world). We went this beautiful gallery that also had a pretty big market right in front of it. At the market, they were selling folk art made with vegetable dyes (which I bought!), shoes, ceramics, pots, and of course, jewelry. My friends and I found this one table that was selling all of these really unique pairs of bronze earrings. No two pairs were alike. We all quickly scrambled through everything and collectively bought almost all of them! I believe I bought 5 pairs because they were so cool and so cheap! This is one of the pairs. The rest are still to come.
